Reflections on an Incredible Yoga on the Rocks Season

Genevieve Marshall |

A Big Thank You from Colorado Threads

What an incredible experience! Ten weeks of Yoga on the Rocks flew by in a blur of excitement, hard work, and unforgettable moments. As we reflect on this whirlwind season, we at Colorado Threads want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us along the way. Hosting our merch booth at this iconic Denver event was an absolute privilege, and we’re beyond grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many passionate yogis, outdoor enthusiasts, and supporters of sustainable apparel.

The Journey to Yoga on the Rocks

This adventure began back in February with a few key phone calls to the City and County of Denver. Navigating the intricacies of sponsorship paperwork and making sure all the details were in place months before the event was a learning curve, but we embraced the challenge. By March and April, we were deep in the creative process—designing our exclusive Yoga on the Rocks apparel and finding the perfect local manufacturing partner. We are proud to say that every piece was made right here in Colorado, with sustainability at the forefront of our minds.

Our commitment to quality and sustainable fabrics drove every decision, and by leveraging our forecasting skills, we ensured that our products were ready for the June 1st kickoff. May was a flurry of activity—curating product displays, boxing up inventory and coordinating with our fantastic team of staffers.

A Season of Growth and Success

June and July marked the height of event season, and it was non-stop action for us. Between Yoga on the Rocks, other events, and the grand opening of our 5th retail location on July 1st, we were running on all cylinders. We’re thrilled to share that we sold out of one of our designs by week three! This prompted us to launch six new products—because why not keep the momentum going?

But the season wasn’t just about sales; it was also a time of building meaningful partnerships. We’re excited to announce our collaborations with Star Cycle Studio and Pure Barre Southlands, where you can now find our merchandise. We’ve also expanded our reach into the Royal Gorge Gift Shop and are thrilled to be partnering with several social impact companies—details on that to come soon!

Our commitment to giving back remains strong. We’ve sponsored and donated to local nonprofits we believe in, and we’re working towards our B Lab certification in 2025, a testament to our dedication to doing business the right way.

Gratitude and Looking Forward

As we look back on these past few months, we’re filled with pride—not just for the success we’ve achieved but for the personal growth we’ve experienced as a team. The support from our community, partners, and incredible staff has been overwhelming, and we couldn’t have done it without you. A special thank you to Jae Dee Wood, Ally Veneris, Adrienne O'Rourke, Nur Umar, Jared Lucero, Thomas Adams, Haley Lucero and everyone else who played a part in making this season unforgettable.

We’re amazed that we sold over 2,000 T-shirts in just ten weeks, and we had nine amazing staff members from all walks of life join us on this journey. A huge shoutout to Denver Arts & Venues and Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre for hosting this fantastic event. Your support means the world to us!
